The UAE University organizes a symposium on artificial intelligence security to combat information crimes in cooperation with the Information Technology Syndicate

 This morning, the Emirates International University organized a symposium on the security of artificial intelligence to combat information crimes in cooperation with the Information Technology Syndicate, in the presence of the University’s Secretary General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Ibrahim Farea, a number of heads of scientific departments at the college, and the engineer Muhammad Ahmed Al-Riyashi, President of the Technology Syndicate. Yemeni information and communications and a number of university staff in relevant departments. And a number of union staff.

 

 During the inauguration of the symposium, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, Secretary-General of the University, pointed out that “recent years have witnessed great development in the fields of information security and artificial intelligence, as it has become an integral part of our daily lives, and is used in many fields, as it is one of the vital fields that contribute to protecting information.” and systems from electronic attacks.

 

 Noting that "combating information crimes is one of the important challenges facing institutions and individuals, as some individuals resort to using artificial intelligence techniques to develop new methods to commit these crimes."

 

 The Secretary General of the University stressed that organizing this symposium comes within the framework of the University’s keenness and interest in promoting the use of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, and preparing specialized cadres in this vital field who contribute to harnessing artificial intelligence to protect data, whether for people or institutions, and use it for the benefit of society.

 

 Dr. Fouad Hanash thanked and appreciated the union and the staff of the College of Engineering for their efforts in organizing this symposium and holding it at the university.

 

 A number of experts in the field of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence spoke at the symposium, where they discussed the most prominent challenges facing artificial intelligence security, and how to use artificial intelligence to combat information crimes.
