This morning, Thursday morning, the blood donation campaign for Thalassemia patients and hereditary blood disorders was concluded on the university campus, which was organized by the university in coordination with the Yemeni Thalassemia Patients Association, and in cooperation with the National Center for Blood Transfusion and Research, the AB STEP medical team and the academic team. The President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, made an inspection tour, accompanied by Dr. Abdul Basit Al-Ghouri, Head of the Medical Laboratories Department, to inspect the medical teams working in the campaign from the students of the Medical Laboratories Department, the National Center for Blood Transfusion and other participating teams. During the inspection tour, the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kamim, praised the efforts of the working volunteer medical teams, which had a great role in the success of the campaign, extending thanks to all the participants in it, including academic and medical staff, staff, student and working teams, and donors. The number of blood donors from students, university employees and affiliates reached 140 donors during the two-day campaign. During the campaign, awareness brochures about blood donation and its benefits were distributed.
