Yesterday, the work of the Fourth Conference on Neurosurgery and Spine, organized by the Yemeni Society of Neurosurgery and Spine and under the supervision of the Supreme Medical Council and September 21 University, was launched in Sana'a during the period 22-24 May, in the presence of the university president, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kamim.
The conference, which is being held under the auspices of the President of the Supreme Political Council, the Prime Minister, the Speaker of Parliament and the Minister of Public Health and Population, aims to exchange experiences and see the latest scientific findings in the brain, nerves and spine, discuss the latest research, and train junior doctors on many surgical operations. Introducing the latest devices used in neurosurgery, and raising the efficiency and skill of the Yemeni surgeon.
The opening event of the conference witnessed a number of speeches being delivered by the sponsoring and organizing bodies, most of which referred to the importance of the conference in developing neurosurgery and spine, exchanging scientific and medical experiences and scientific development witnessed by various Yemeni universities, and coming up with scientific recommendations aimed at strengthening medical services in the field of brain, neuroscience and spine. spine.
The conference will discuss, during the period 22-24 May, the latest research in the fields of endoscopic neurosurgery, blood vessels and brain catheterization, various spine surgeries, nervous system tumors, accidents and injuries of the brain and nerves, skull base and neurosurgery for children, and radiotherapy for brain tumors. Pain management, peripheral nerve surgery, as well as functional nervous system surgery.
The opening of the conference included the presentation of a documentary film on the history of neurosurgery and the spine, a reportage about the external participants in the conference, and the awarding of the shields of the Association for Neurosurgery and Spinal Surgery to senior guests of the country's leaders.
The conference witnessed a large presence of state leaders and relevant authorities and a number of researchers, experts and consultants in the field of neurology.
