The UAE University strengthens the College of Dentistry's laboratories with modern and advanced equipment

The Emirates International University in Sana'a has strengthened its infrastructure in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Department of Dentistry, with modern and advanced laboratories. Quality equipment has recently arrived at the university to develop the phantom laboratories, as well as the arrival of dental chairs to modernize the current laboratories. Strengthening the infrastructure in the department included the expansion of the medical laboratories and consulting clinics in the dental department. The expansion included a number of distinguished dental clinics equipped with modern equipment, as well as equipping a modern laboratory for the phantom, in addition to what is currently in the department of consulting clinics, phantom laboratories, dental anatomy lab, crew lab and gypsum lab "Industrial lab", radiology unit, orthodontic lab, and sterilization units, which are considered the best in this field, and are used for sterilization to avoid transmission of infection between patients and other laboratories in the department, as well as laboratories shared with other medical departments. The Department of Dentistry also opened training consultancy clinics to receive patients from outside the university to provide services to various segments of society, thus contributing to strengthening the role of the university in community service. For his part, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, Professor Sultan Obaid Al-Shaya, affirmed that the Board of Trustees attaches great importance to the scientific and academic aspects, and to the development and modernization of everything that serves the scientific aspects of the University, because of its importance in providing an integrated academic and educational environment. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees pointed out that the university is keen to create the appropriate environment and a comfortable and stimulating atmosphere to help students innovate and excel, adopt the causes of excellence and success, raise the level of their educational attainment, refine their talents, develop their abilities and develop their skills. It is an affirmation of the mission and goals of the university, which always strives for excellence in its qualified, trained and distinguished outputs in the various disciplines offered by the university in line with the requirements of the modern era and the labor market. Professor Sultan Al-Shaya also pointed out that the university's curricula, academic programs, equipment, laboratories, modern high-tech laboratories, the comprehensive library and university buildings constitute a suitable environment for learning, development and creativity. And that the educational process at the university proceeds according to an integrated system that makes the university student the goal of development and the focus of scientific development. For this reason, the university adopts an approach that emphasizes the importance of qualifying the scientific and practical student according to the highest scientifically approved educational curricula and according to modern mechanisms, training and qualification. He pointed out that the university was keen that its method of education be based on the latest findings of the world in this field, similar to the most prestigious international universities, and urged students to exert effort, commitment and dedication during their studies to obtain the highest results so that they could reach the highest levels of science and knowledge to contribute to building and upgrading society. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees also confirmed that the Board is working on making the university one of the distinguished universities in the world. Indeed, it is able to reach this position with its distinguished cadres at the academic, professional and administrative levels, and its integrated and advanced infrastructure.
