The President of the UAE University participates in the work of the Association of Arab Universities Conference, held in Jordan during the period 27-28 March

 Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, President of the Emirates International University, participated in the activities of the Association of Arab Universities Conference, which was held in Jordan in its fifty-fourth session, during the period 27-28 March.

 The work of the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities in its fifty-fourth session was launched yesterday, Sunday, at Al-Ahliyya Amman University in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in the presence of Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, President of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Wajih Owais, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Minister of Education in Jordan, and Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of the University Al-Ahliyya Amman University, and nearly 200 presidents and representatives of member universities in the Association of Arab Universities, and representatives of Arab and international organizations.

 Over the course of two days, the session discussed a number of topics, including projects to establish a unified Arab framework for academic qualifications, the system for documenting Arab university certificates, and the creation of a unified platform for Arab periodicals to support scientific publishing, in addition to discussing scientific and university issues common among Arab universities.

 For his part, the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, stressed the university’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the union, sign cooperation agreements and exchange experiences in various fields, and consolidate its relations with Arab universities that are members of the union to enhance the university’s competitiveness locally, Arably and internationally in the interest of the student, in light of the university’s quest to achieve Its mission of excellence at the local and regional levels, according to its 2025 strategy.

 The President of the University pointed to the importance of the Association of Arab Universities Conference in that it works on linking Arab universities on the one hand and international universities on the other, with the aim of reviewing the experiences of prestigious international universities in the fields of scientific research, teaching and community service, which represents an opportunity for member universities to benefit from those experiences and keep pace with Rapid developments in the field of higher education and learning.

 On the sidelines of the conference, the President of the University had held a meeting with Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, with whom he discussed aspects of cooperation between the University and the Union in the field of scientific research, various scientific clubs, the scientific journal and various related fields. The president of the university also held meetings with several heads of Arab universities in the context of consolidating relations and discussing aspects of joint cooperation and coordination to serve the development of the educational process and exchange of experiences.

 The President of the University has also worked on completing the procedures for membership of the UAE University in the Arab Council for Training and Student Creativity with Prof. Fawaz Al-Zaghloul, Director of the Council, in order to provide many activities for university students, the most important of which is the training opportunities program through the annual Creative Student Forum, which is held annually among Arab universities.

 The President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, handed over the shield of the Emirates International University to the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Amr Ezzat Salameh also handed over the university's shield to the president of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the university hosting the conference.
