The Department of Dentistry at the University continues for the fourth consecutive day to hold scientific lectures within the framework of the scientific week accompanying the Excellence Program for Dental Students, which was launched on Thursday, November 28. Where Dr. Bashir Al-Shamiri gave a lecture entitled: Decision-making for an appropriate dental diagnosis and treatment. In it, he addressed the definition of the name of the diagnosis, its requirements and what should be paid attention to during the diagnosis process, in order to reach a correct diagnosis in the end. The lecture also touched on what must be taken into account to develop a treatment plan that adheres to the foundations of dental and periodontal treatment and suits the patient according to the possibilities available to the doctor to reach a good dental restoration or compensation. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mutawakel also gave a lecture entitled Gummy Smile. The doctor discussed the definition of a gummy smile and its negative impact on the smile’s aesthetics, as well as the different methods of treating such cases in order to achieve the aesthetics of the patient’s smile and appearance. It is noteworthy that the scientific week accompanying the internship program will conclude its lectures tomorrow, Wednesday, with a lecture by Dr. Mokhtar Al-Garafi on antibiotics.
