The Department of Oil and Gas Engineering at the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the university concluded a discussion of the graduation projects for the department’s students for the academic year 2018-2019, in the presence of the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Ali Farea, and a number of faculty members and students of the department. Where three graduation projects were discussed. The first project was entitled "The effect of water injection on oil productivity in the Sheryouf field - Sector 53 of the Masila Basin. Where the project aimed to study and analyze the performance of some oil wells in the sector for factors, the most important of which are reservoir pressure, oil and water production, and to suggest recommendations that could reduce the impact of increasing the water rate in relation to oil in the sector. The project is supervised by Prof. Dr. Mahyoub Abdel Rahman Saeed and implemented by the students: Mahmoud Ahmed Ahmed Mahmoud, Mohamed Yahya Ali Al-Qahali, Amir Mohamed Hamoud Al-Jabri, Omar Shaif Abdullah Al-Sina’i and Abrar Saeed Al-Busaili. The project discussion committee was: Prof. Ibrahim Ali Fare M. Muhammad Hassan Abbas. The second project was entitled "Studying the Reservoir Characteristics of the Upper Qishn Layer in the Tasawil Field of the Seiyun Basin - Al-Masila." Where the project aimed to study the characterization of the reservoirs on the upper Qishn rocks in the Tsur field, block 32, Masila Basin. This study used different allowances for well logs from 12 wells in the block. IPTM interactive petrophysics software was also used to interpret these records. The project is supervised by Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Matari and implemented by the students: Khaled Mohsen Al-Zaqari, Ahmed Al-Qafla, Saif Ali Saleh Al-Abdali, Amani Shaher Abdullah Seylan, Doaa Yahya Gower and Sayyaf Ali Al-Azraqi. The project discussion committee was: Prof. Ibrahim Ali Farea and m. Muhammad Hassan Abbas. The third project was entitled "Evaluation of Source Rocks in the Seventeen Basin". The project was supervised by Dr. Mahyoub Abdul Rahman Saeed and implemented by the students: Hamza Abdel Fattah Al-Junaid, Ali Ahmed Al-Nini, Salem Abbad Al-Shanawah, and Labib Dhafer Ahmed Mutahar, and God preserves Ahmed Al-Shayani. The committee to discuss the project was: Prof. Ibrahim Ali Farea and Prof. Adil Matari. The projects were well received by the discussion committee, which praised the students' efforts and distinguished their projects.
