Today, Thursday, the University’s Center for Development and Quality Assurance, under the patronage of the President of the University, Dr. Naguib Al-Kumaim, organized a workshop to develop the center’s strategy 2025, in the context of strengthening the strategic and institutional building of the university. At the opening of the workshop, the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, stressed the importance of the workshop, which comes as one of the main activities for developing the strategy of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance and working to convert it into an executive plan in the light of the university’s strategy 2025, pointing out that the university has become a house of expertise and the involvement of university staff from various faculties The scientific and administrative departments, faculty members and students from various university disciplines contribute to promoting the dissemination of a culture of quality and continuous development at the university. The President of the University praised the efforts made by the Center for Development and Quality Assurance team in order to raise the level of planning and contribute to building strategies and executive development plans in various academic and administrative aspects, providing support and consulting to all quality units in faculties, and spreading a culture of quality and qualification, in accordance with the university’s strategy aimed at achieving excellence at local and regional level. The workshop aimed at presenting and discussing the results of the documentary surveys to build the center’s strategy, as well as presenting and discussing the corresponding strategic directions for the centers (national – Arab – international), presenting and discussing the proposed strategic directions for the center (vision, mission, goals and values), and approving the strategy document after the amendments made in the workshop. Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance at the university, reviewed in the first session the general framework for preparing the strategy of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance. Ms. Jamila Mahyoub Al-Sharjabi, Head of the Strategic Planning Unit at the Center, Ms. Jamila Mahyoub, reviewed the analysis of the current situation in the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, the analysis matrix for the internal and external environment of the center and the results of the environmental analysis. While Dr. Melfi Al-Qamsh, the center's measurement and evaluation officer, reviewed the evaluation form. The second session witnessed the distribution of the participants within the framework of a working group to discuss and enrich the evaluation form and make comments on it. The workshop was attended by deans of faculties, heads of academic departments, a number of faculty members and their assistants, representatives of university students in various departments, a number of directors of departments and heads of administrative and technical departments at the university. At the end of the workshop, the workshop participants submitted practical recommendations for the development of quality activities at the university, and certificates of participation were distributed to the workshop participants.
