Training workshop on preparing questions using the multiple-choice MCQ method

Today, Tuesday, the University’s Academic Accreditation and Development Center organized a mini-workshop on preparing questions using the multiple-choice MCQ method, under the generous sponsorship of Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the university, which was implemented by Prof. Khalil Al-Wajeeh, Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the university, and moderated by Associate Professor Sharaf Al-Hamdi. The workshop included a number of themes, the most important of which were the methods used to evaluate students according to quality standards, the purpose of assessment for students, assessment methods using multiple choice (MCQ) and how to formulate questions, as well as the method of assessment and preparation of questions using true and false questions. At the end of the workshop, Associate Professor Sharaf Al-Hamdi gave a simplified presentation on the importance and objectives of electronic correction, then presented some models that can be used to conduct the electronic correction process (for students or faculty members) and the role that the electronic correction committee can provide during the examination period. The workshop was attended by a number of department heads, faculty members and their assistants in university faculties, the Director of Academic Affairs and the Development Officer at the Quality Center.
