Wednesday 4/11/2020 pm The Emirates International University and the Information Technology Center of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research signed today, Wednesday, a partnership and cooperation agreement that covered many fields, foremost of which is the trend towards integrating e-learning into education strategies. The agreement also included the university's readiness to actively participate in supporting the center's strategic plan and exchanging experiences in various technical fields. During the signing ceremony, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, President of the University, confirmed that signing the agreement comes within the framework of the strategic directions of the Emirates International University, which aims to strengthen partnership and cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research represented by the Information Technology Center, and build bridges of communication to exchange experiences with the Ministry and the Center. Noting the support given by the University’s Board of Trustees, represented by its President, Professor Sultan bin Obaid Al-Shaya, to such valuable agreements that serve the educational process and enhance partnership with the relevant official authorities in the country, particularly the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its Minister, Mr. Hussein Hazeb, whose leadership the educational process is witnessing a qualitative leap. . The president of the university pointed out that the prestigious position and good reputation of the UAE University and its quest to develop the level of private higher education in Yemen made it a trusted institution of higher education and an essential partner with the relevant authorities, for everything that contributes to serving the educational process and development efforts at the level the National. For his part, Dr. Fouad Abdul Razzaq, Executive Director of the Information Technology Center, stressed the importance of the agreement signed with the UAE University, as it is a distinguished university that occupies an advanced position in the competition towards providing the best. The first conference for e-learning in higher education institutions in Yemen, to be held during the next week, which aims to assess the experience of e-learning during the period of confronting the Corona pandemic in light of the controls set by the Ministry of Higher Education to complete the educational process for the past academic year and benefit from it in developing higher education strategies in field of e-learning. The agreement was signed by the university's president, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, and by the information technology center, Dr. Fouad Abdul Razzaq. The signing ceremony was attended by the Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Muhammad Dhaif Allah, Professor Mahmoud Al-Silwi, Director of the Office of the Minister of Higher Education, and a number of cadres of the center and the university.
