Tomorrow the work of the first e-learning conference in Yemen begins

Tomorrow, the work of the first scientific conference for e-learning in higher education institutions in Yemen, "Reality and Aspirations", will begin in Sana'a. The participants in the two-day conference, which is organized by the Information Technology Center of the Ministry of Higher Education in partnership with the Emirates International University, will discuss, through six working sessions, a number of axes on the national experience of e-learning in higher education institutions, the communications and information technology system, and ways to benefit from them in the success of e-learning in Yemen. . The conference will also discuss axes on the quality of e-learning and applied virtual education, the required standards, the challenges of e-learning in Yemen and ways to address them. The Executive Director of the Information Technology Center, Dr. Fouad Hassan Abdel Razzaq, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the conference will be attended by a group of academics and researchers from various Yemeni universities, decision-makers and international experiences from "Yemen, Egypt, Sultanate of Oman, Palestine, Malaysia". He pointed out that during the conference, regional and international experiences in the field of e-learning will be discussed, especially in light of the Corona pandemic, and how to benefit from them in developing the educational process and keeping pace with the times and the rapid technological developments in this field. For his part, the President of the Emirates International University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, considered that organizing the conference under the current circumstances embodies the real and tangible partnership between the private sector represented by the university and the public sector represented by the Ministry to support the continuity and development of the educational process and keep pace with developments through the use of all means of modern technology. Dr. Al-Kumaim stressed that the conference will contribute to spreading the culture of e-learning and blended education in higher education institutions in Yemen, considering that this type of education has become a strategic choice in various educational institutions at home and abroad.
