Today, Thursday, the College of Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery at the university organized a scientific day in preparation for the launch of the internship program in its third edition, which targets students of the internship year at the college. Where the scientific day witnessed the establishment of three lectures, the first lecture was presented by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shami, Director of the Internship Program, entitled: “Introduction to the Year of Excellence,” in which he addressed the most important points related to the year of excellence, as well as the most important points related to the organization of training in terms of rights and duties, and the number and quality of cases to be completed by The trainees, and then presented another scientific lecture entitled: "Types of Prosthetic Dental Treatments", in which he addressed the most important issues related to restorative treatments according to the latest methods and principles adopted globally in the field of dental treatments. This was followed by a second lecture under the title "Principles of Work in the Year of Excellence" by Dr. Abdul Qadir Zabara, in which he addressed the most important principles of work that prevent errors during dental treatments, and then touched upon the types of cases that are required to be completed by the trainees with regard to pediatrics. Then, Dr. Muhammad Al-Ansi reviewed in the third lecture entitled "Common Mistakes in Fixed Prosthodontics", during which he presented the most important common mistakes that occur when making fixed prosthodontics and ways to avoid them as well as ways to treat them if they occur. For his part, Dr. Al-Haytham Al-Kumaim, the supervisor of the internship program and the clinics administrator, confirmed the readiness of the clinics at the college to receive trainees in the internship program, whether they are graduates of the university’s Faculty of Dentistry or graduates of other public and private universities wishing to apply excellence at the university, explaining that the college always seeks excellence by attracting qualified and specialized staff, And the provision of the latest equipment and auxiliary materials that contribute to refining the student’s practical skills and qualifying them for the labor market, with the generous support of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the President of the University and the Vice President of the University to provide the best educational and training environment in accordance with quality standards and in line with the development and modernity in the field of dentistry.
