Today, Thursday, the Emirates International University Council held its periodic meeting headed by the President of the Council, President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, and in the presence of the members of the Council and representatives of the relevant departments and departments. At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the University, Dr. Naguib Al-Kumaim, welcomed the members of the Council and representatives of the relevant departments participating in the meeting. Congratulations to the new academic appointments on behalf of all members of the council, which took place during the previous and current councils, represented by the appointment of Dr. Ahmed Abdul Karim Jaylan Al-Baadani as Vice President of the University, as well as the appointment of Dr. Hatem Al-Dais as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the university, as well as the appointment of Dr. Muhammad Al-Alfi as Head of the Medical Equipment Engineering Department. The President of the University stressed that the council’s convening at the beginning of the new academic year 2020-2021 is of great importance, represented in the topics that will be presented in the council’s meeting and the desired results related to the educational process and postgraduate programs and the progress of the development process for the programs of the College of Medicine as well as aspects related to the automation of internal processes in addition to the process Preparation of the fourth educational building and other related topics included in the council's agenda. The President of the University praised the efforts made and made by the team in performing their duties during the past academic year 2019-2020, which accompanied the year of quality and excellence launched by the university at the beginning of the current year 2020, in line with the outcomes of the university’s strategy 2025. Complete the updating and development of programs according to the approved standards. In his intervention through the Zoom program, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Sultan bin Obaid Al-Shaya, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President of the University Council and all members of the Council, as well as to all employees and affiliates of the University for the outstanding efforts made by everyone during the previous period, wishing success during the next stage, stressing the support of the Board of Trustees for all decisions that the council will come up with, and the developmental trends adopted by the university leadership and the general secretariat in order to advance the educational process in accordance with the highest standards applicable globally in the field of education. The council had looked at the topics listed on its agenda in the educational, academic and administrative aspects, and came up with a number of decisions and appropriate measures regarding these topics.
