In a joyful ceremony in the capital, Sana'a, this Thursday morning Emirates International University celebrates the graduation of the first batch of human medicine from the University's College of Medicine and Health Sciences

This morning, the Emirates International University organized a festive academic ceremony for the graduation of the first batch of human medicine, the "Icon of Mercy" batch, under the patronage of the State of Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, Prime Minister and President of the Supreme Council of Higher Education, and His Excellency Mr. Hussain Ali Hazeb, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. In the opening speech of the ceremony, the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, the Chairman of the Council, Professor Sultan bin Obaid Al-Shaya, and the university leadership welcomed the attendees and participants in the ceremony, extending congratulations to the graduates and wishing them a prosperous future and a life full of giving and achievement. The president of the university expressed the university’s pride in graduating the first batch of human medicine students, who will start their scientific and practical lives and be the best doctors who contribute to community service and the best ambassadors for the university, pointing out that the medical profession is one of the noblest professions as it relates to human health, urging the graduates to adhere to human consciences. When dealing with patients, adhering to the ethics of the medical profession, continuing the course of higher education until obtaining a doctorate, and joining vocational training programs and the field of work to provide everything that would provide an outstanding medical service. Dr. Najib Al-Kumaim directed the university's thanks and appreciation to the leaders of the state and the Ministry of Higher Education for their honor to attend and sponsor the graduation ceremony, and for their support of the university's development process. He also sent a letter of thanks and appreciation to the families of students, faculty members, and all university employees for their outstanding efforts during the students' academic years. In the speech of the Supreme Political Council delivered by the council member, Mr. Ahmed Al-Rahwi, he stressed that nations are built with the help of their sons who raise their status with knowledge, work and adherence to the laws of practicing the profession. Pointing out that graduating a group of doctors today under the current circumstances is a message to the world about the resilience of the Yemeni people and their ability to influence, make transformations and break the barriers that were imposed on them. Al-Rahwi urged male and female doctors to assume moral and humanitarian responsibility and implement the medical oath they performed today in serving the community and contributing to improving the health situation in the country and providing services to patients. For his part, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, His Excellency Mr. Hussein Hazeb, stressed that attending the farewell ceremony of the Icon of Mercy batch from the UAE University with more than 60 male and female doctors represents an incentive and moral motive for the graduates to carry their humanitarian and moral message according to the Department of Ethics Performance to save the lives of patients and contribute to community service. The Minister of Higher Education referred to the steps taken by the university and its work to develop its programs in accordance with the standards of academic accreditation and quality assurance, its keenness to improve its facilities and infrastructure, and its interest in the quality and efficiency of its outputs to meet the needs of the labor market. He stressed the ministry's keenness to support the efforts of the Academic Accreditation Council in applying academic standards in Yemeni universities to keep pace with local and international changes. The ceremony, which was attended by the Minister of Planning and Development, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Kamim, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Ali Sharaf Al-Din, the Undersecretaries of the Ministry, Dr. Ghaleb Al-Qans, Dr. Sadiq Al-Sharaji, the Director of the Information Technology Center Dr. Fouad Hassan, a number of directors of government hospitals, university presidents, and the Vice President of the University Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani and the Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Saleh Al-Dhaheri, and a number of university leaders and staff, performed the medical oath delivered by Prof. Dr. Sadiq Abdel-Mughni, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, honored the graduates, and presented a reportage on the development process witnessed and witnessed by the College of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Human Medicine Program. The ceremony also included honoring the member of the Supreme Political Council, Mr. Ahmed Al-Rahwi, and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Hussein Ali Hazeb, with the university shield, providing technical links, and honoring the staff and supporters with certificates of appreciation and memorial shields.
