Yesterday, Thursday, the university organized a workshop to discuss and review the document of the Artificial Intelligence specialization program, under the generous sponsorship of the university president, Dr. Najib Al-Kamim, and in the presence of the university’s vice president, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, “through the Department of Visual Communication” and Dr. Fouad Abdel Razak, Executive Director of the Information Technology Center, and Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences Dr. Muhammad Al-Kahali, the representative of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Dr. Ibrahim Farea, the Acting Head of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance at the university, Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology at Sana’a University, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Informatics at Dhamar University, the head of the Information Technology Department at the university, and members of the document preparation committee The program is headed by Dr. Ahmed Sultan Al-Hijami, a group of experts and specialists in the field of artificial intelligence and related disciplines, and representatives of some departments and departments concerned with the university. During the inauguration of the workshop, the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, indicated that the university’s endeavor to develop an artificial intelligence program within the specializations of the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the university comes from the university’s strategy in the continuous development of programs, and with the support and sponsorship of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Council, Professor Sultan bin Obaid Al-Shaya to strive towards Providing quality specializations according to the requirements of the local, regional and global labor market, and the university’s belief in innovation, development and leadership in the field of information technology, to build a generation that possesses knowledge and skill in the manufacture and use of artificial intelligence, which has become a reality used in all areas of life. Dr. Najib Al-Kumaim stressed the university's keenness to complete all requirements to create the department and obtain a ministerial license, in accordance with the standards and requirements of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Academic Accreditation Council, and to ensure the quality of higher education and the general standards in force in this field. Noting that a specialized scientific committee was formed to prepare the program document, and to launch a workshop to discuss and review the document in the presence of specialized experts from a number of Yemeni universities to enrich the document and come up with a formula that achieves excellence for the program.
