Today, Thursday, a training workshop on practical procedures for qualifying engineering and technology programs to obtain international program accreditation ABET, which was organized by the Center for Development and Quality Assurance in cooperation with the Deanship of the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the university, was concluded on Wednesday and Thursday from 15-16 September 2021 AD. The workshop dealt with the quality standards of engineering and computer programs in accordance with the International Academic Accreditation Council for Engineering and Technology ABET, and the practical steps to qualify the college programs to meet the requirements of ABET and the procedures for self-evaluation of programs in accordance with these steps and standards to reach the development of an improvement plan aimed at developing the quality of the outputs of engineering and computer programs. The workshop came out with a set of recommendations that will contribute to improving and improving the educational process in the college, in addition to forming specialized committees and developing action plans with the aim of improving and developing engineering and computer programs to work according to the procedures that the participants were trained on during the workshop. At the end of the workshop, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology and the Acting Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance honored the expert in leadership and measurement of academic programs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sharjabi with a certificate of thanks and appreciation, then honored the participants in the workshop with certificates of participation. It is worth noting that the workshop, which was inaugurated yesterday, Wednesday, was attended by a group of academics, heads of scientific departments, staff of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, teaching assistants, technicians from various departments of the college, and a number of directors of departments, departments and related units.
