Launching the activities of the first scientific week of the College of Engineering and Information Technology for the academic year 1446 AH 2024-2025 AD

To enhance scientific and academic knowledge and encourage innovation and scientific research, the Emirates International University launched today, Saturday, the activities of the first scientific week of the College of Engineering and Information Technology for the academic year 1446 AH 2024-2025 AD. 

 

The launch was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Mohammed Al-Dhaifani, the President of the University, Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Mufri, the Secretary-General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Ibrahim Fareh, and a number of heads of scientific departments in the College of Engineering and Information Technology. 

 

 The activities of the Scientific Week, which is organized by the college during the period from August 31 to September 5, 2024, include organizing inspiring scientific seminars by local and international experts (in-person, virtual) in various fields of engineering and computing, displaying innovative graduation projects, reviewing distinguished scientific and research papers by the college staff, and an accompanying art exhibition. 

 

During the launch of the Scientific Week, the University President, Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Mufri, pointed out the importance of the Scientific Week, as it is an ideal platform for presenting the latest ideas and innovations in the fields of engineering and technology, and encouraging students and researchers to exchange experiences and knowledge. 

 

The University President stressed that organizing this Scientific Week comes within the framework of the university's efforts to provide a stimulating environment for innovation and creativity, provide university students with knowledge and skills, and qualify graduates capable of facing the challenges of the accelerating labor market. He noted that this event contributes to enhancing cooperation between academics and students, and exchanging experiences and knowledge at the local and international levels. 

 

 The first day witnessed several seminars as follows:

A seminar on the production of competencies: How universities contribute to building the industrial workforce, presented by Eng. Mohammed Saeed Al-Maqtari.

 

While the second seminar was on The Future of Mechatronics Engineering, presented by Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed Al-Ariqi.

 

While the third seminar was presented by Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Sharai entitled Medical Devices Management.
