Launching the new academic year, opening new laboratories, and honoring the top students and pioneers of creative and innovative projects from the students of the Emirates University

The Emirates International University in Sana'a organized today the launching ceremony of the academic year 1446 AH and honoring the top students, as well as honoring the pioneers of creative and innovative projects from the university students and opening new laboratories and educational facilities. 

At the honoring ceremony, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the caretaker government, His Excellency Professor Hussein Ali Hazeb, confirmed that the university is moving with confident steps towards leadership and scientific and academic excellence and developing its infrastructure to reach academic accreditation. 

He pointed out that the university is witnessing today the opening of a number of new medical laboratories and classrooms and the launch of the academic year 1446 AH, honoring the top students who excelled in various disciplines, as well as honoring the university students who won first places in the national competition for creative and innovative projects. 

 His Excellency the Minister stated that the university has shown excellence and development in many scientific and academic aspects since last year, as well as the establishment of the training and qualification center and the university's peer-reviewed scientific journal. He stressed the ministry's keenness to support and assist the UAE University and all government and private universities and achieve the desired successes in order to obtain national and international accreditation. 

In the event attended by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ali Sharaf Al-Din, and the former Minister of Transport, Amer Al-Marani, the President of the Emirates International University, Nasser Al-Moufari, considered the student the focus and foundation of the educational process, and he needs to provide an appropriate infrastructure that enables him to acquire information and skills in the correct manner, and this is what the university has worked on. 

He pointed out that the university is currently witnessing a process of development, modernization and expansion in the infrastructure, as four large classrooms have been opened, the skills lab has been opened in the College of Human Medicine, and equipped with modern labs, the phantom labs have been opened and 40 chairs have been added to the College of Dentistry, as well as the modernization and development of mechatronics labs and the addition of new labs in the College of Engineering. 

 He stressed the university's keenness to implement the university's tasks and functions in advancing the educational process, supporting and encouraging scientific research, and the university's keenness on qualification and training in a way that ensures that knowledge and skills reach the student and enables university graduates to integrate into the labor market and participate effectively in community development. 

The university students who won first place in the National Competition for Pioneers of Creative and Innovative Projects for the year 2024 were also honored with cash amounts. 

In addition, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Deputy Minister, and their companions inaugurated the new classrooms and skills labs in the College of Human Medicine, the Phantom, and the addition of 40 chairs to the College of Dentistry, and reviewed the progress of updating and developing the mechatronics and computer labs in the College of Engineering and launched the training program for fourth-level students in the Department of Medical Equipment Engineering.
