 This Tuesday morning, the University’s Training and Qualification Center inaugurated the training course in modern pharmaceutical marketing for students of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, in the presence of the Secretary General of the University, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, the Dean of the College, Dr. Saleh Al-Dhaheri, the Deputy Dean of the College, Dr. Sadiq Abdel-Mughni, and the Head of the Pharmacy Department. Clinical Dr. Mukhtar Al-Gharafi. 

 

 This course comes within the framework of the university’s keenness to develop its students’ skills and enhance their expertise in various fields, in line with the needs of the labor market. The course is organized over three days, and the head of the department, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Gharafi, trains more than 170 male and female students participating in it. 

 

 During his speech at the inauguration ceremony, the University’s Secretary General, Dr. Fouad Hanash, stressed the importance of this course in enhancing students’ skills and qualifying them to work in various fields of pharmaceutical manufacturing and marketing. He also pointed out the university's keenness to provide the best educational and training opportunities for its students, which contributes to supplying the labor market with qualified competencies. 

 

 For his part, Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Saleh Al Dhaheri, indicated that this course represents a qualitative addition to the training programs offered by the department. He added that the course will contribute to refining students' practical skills and providing them with the knowledge necessary to succeed in their professional careers. 

 

 The course includes a number of topics, including: - The skills of a successful representative, the advantages and characteristics of a successful representative, how to choose the appropriate client, build relationships with clients, pharmaceutical work and sales, and how to design an integrated marketing program. 

 

 The head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Gharafi, pointed out that the course supports the marketing work for medicines and its development paths in a way that serves society and achieves qualified outcomes, noting that developing marketing methods for medicines and possessing marketing skills makes a difference in the local market, and that development, innovation, and defining goals and methods are a basic condition for marketing. pharmaceutical.
