Six projects by UAE University students qualified for the training camp stage in the sixth season of the annual competition for pioneers of innovative projects

 Within the framework of the National Competition for Pioneers of Creative and Innovative Projects, organized by the Higher Authority for Science, Technology and Innovation under the slogan “With Your Hand Build Your Nation,” in its sixth season, six projects by Emirati International University students from the Mechatronics Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Information Technology qualified for the training camp stage.

 The projects that qualified from the UAE University for the camp stage were:

 1. Design, development and implementation of a high-precision five-axis CNC machine.

 2. Design and build an industrial production line for paper recycling.

 3. Drone.

 4. The Robot Himo Project

 5. Electric metal melting furnace using automation.

 6. Drone Multi-Function Project

 More than 100 male and female trainees, representing 68 projects participating in the competition, participate in the ten-day camp.

 At the inauguration event of the training camp, the head of the Supreme Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Mounir Al-Qadi, pointed out that the competitors’ arrival at this stage is a victory in itself... Pointing out that the training camp represents the most important stage of the competition in which the competitors will receive important knowledge that will help them present... Their projects using modern scientific methods.

 Dr. Al-Qadi pointed out that the competition adheres to a number of laws and depends on competition that ultimately leads to victory. He stressed that the victory of some projects in the competition does not mean that the departing person is a loser and his project is not good, but there are specific criteria based on which the jury evaluates the projects, which is the factor. Essential for qualifying for future stages.

 The trainees in the camp will receive training on: studying the feasibility of creativity and innovation projects, methods for drafting projects, how to conduct the final evaluation to study the feasibility of the project document, strategies for creativity and innovation, presentation and delivery skills, branding and visual identity, in addition to intellectual property and creative projects.
