The President of the University inaugurates the Scientific Week of the Faculty of Dentistry

 Today, Sunday, the President of the University, Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Moufari, inaugurated the Scientific Week of the College of Dentistry, in the presence of the Vice President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badani, the Secretary General of the University, Dr. Fouad Hanash, the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shami, the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, and a number of Faculty members and their assistants in the college, dental students from various upper levels, and the university student forum.

 

 During the inauguration, the university president confirmed that the scientific week comes within the framework of the university's endeavor to keep abreast of scientific developments in the field of dentistry, and to provide the best educational and research services to its students, thus contributing to preparing them to be distinguished dentists who are able to provide distinguished health care to patients.

 

 He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the college leadership and cadres and their keenness to organize this scientific week, which is one of the most important scientific events that contribute to enriching the scientific content of students and raising the level of their skills and competence in the field of dentistry.

 

 The university president praised the students' participation in the scientific week, and their eagerness to learn and acquire new experiences.

 

 For his part, the Dean of the College indicated that the scientific week, which targets male and female students of the College of Dentistry, lasts for a week and includes many training courses and specialized scientific lectures, which are presented by a group of academics and specialized doctors from inside and outside the university, which deals with the latest technologies and practices in the field of dentistry.

 

 The dean of the college praised the efforts of the university presidency and its keenness to support the college and provide everything it needs to advance its educational mission. He noted that the scientific week is a unique opportunity for students to acquire knowledge and skills, communicate with academics and specialized doctors, and exchange expertise and experiences.

 

 Following the inauguration, the first training course in professional oral and dental imaging was implemented, led by Mr. Abdullah Huwais.

 

 The course included a review and application of the latest technologies in oral and dental imaging, through professional digital imaging with a camera, and professional mobile imaging. The course also included a discussion of how to use these technologies in diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of dental and gum conditions.

 

 It is scheduled to continue the courses during the current week in various important aspects of dentistry, according to the previously prepared program.
