The Board of Trustees of the Emirates International University of Yemen held its first meeting of the academic year 2019-2020 in the capital, Sana’a, today, Thursday, headed by Professor Sultan bin Obaid Al-Shaya, Chairman of the Council. During its meeting, the council discussed aspects of the academic and administrative development witnessed and witnessed by the university, and the future vision according to the university's strategy 2025. The meeting of the Council was chaired by His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Sultan bin Obaid Al-Shaya, and he opened the meeting with a speech in which he thanked the members of the Board of Trustees and the leadership and presidency of the university for the efforts that contributed to the development of the university and the achievement of many distinguished achievements in the academic and administrative aspects. To achieve the university's vision and mission to become one of the distinguished and prestigious universities locally and regionally. For his part, the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, welcomed the members of the Council, stressing that the Board of Trustees plays an important role in supporting, developing and implementing the university’s strategy and plans, and following up on all its programs and objectives. The agenda included a number of topics on which appropriate decisions were taken, to support the development process to raise the level of the educational process at the university. The council reviewed a detailed report submitted by Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, President of the University, which included all the achieved strategies and plans for the developmental aspects during the previous stage, the progress of the academic and educational process at the university, quality and academic accreditation, administrative aspects, student affairs, attracting scientific competencies, and creating specializations New ones that meet the needs of the local and regional market, build broad community partnerships, as well as review challenges and difficulties and ways to overcome them, and the future vision of the university. The meeting was attended by the members of the Council, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kamim, President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, Secretary General of the University, Professor Amin Jamaan, Dr. Hamdan Al-Shami, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mawri, and Professor Abdullah Al-Shaya, in the presence of the Legal Adviser, Dr. Fouad Al-Haj.
