UAE University students shine in the second poetry festival and competition for Yemeni universities

 UAE University students participating in the second poetry festival and competition for Yemeni universities, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, shined within the framework of the cultural, scientific and sports competitive competitions project and within the national vision projects.

 The second day of the competition witnessed the participation of two university students who recited their distinctive poems before the judging panel. The poems were submitted by the students: Rasin and Hass, a poem entitled “An Identity That Cannot Be Obliterated,” and Shamakh Al-Qatwi, a poem entitled “The Free People of Gaza.”

 80 male and female poets from 30 public and private universities, from various Yemeni universities, participated in the festival, where they presented various poems in the poetic fields identified by the organizing committee. The members of the jury praised the levels of the participating students, stressing the importance of such competitions in enriching the poetic movement in Yemen.

 The competition is scheduled to conclude its work tomorrow, Wednesday, and the winners in the first places will be announced and honored, as well as the competition participants.
