A scientific visit for students of the Medical Laboratory Department, third level, to the National Center for Blood Transfusion and Research

 This Tuesday morning, the Department of Medical Laboratories at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University organized a scientific visit for the department’s third-level students to the National Center for Blood Transfusion and Research, accompanied by the department’s staff, Dr. Safaa Darwish and Dr. Fahim Farea Al-Sabati, where they were received by Dr. Adnan Al-Hakimi, the center’s technical director, and a number of staff. And center staff.

 The visit aimed to introduce the students to the various specialized departments of the center and its working mechanism to achieve integration between what they receive at the university from a theoretical and practical aspect in the university’s laboratories and laboratories and what is happening in the departments and laboratories of the National Center for Blood Transfusion and Research.

 The visit included the following departments: departments for receiving blood donors, departments for separating blood components, and departments for laboratory tests performed on blood. In addition to learning closely about the mechanism of dealing with the devices related to these operations, the students also visited the blood preservation and dispensing departments, and the students listened to a detailed explanation from the staff of the relevant departments about the work mechanism in each department.

 At the conclusion of the visit, the students expressed their thanks to the center’s management, headed by Dr. Ayman Al-Shehari and the technical director, Dr. Adnan Al-Hakimi, and all the center’s employees, including department heads and staff, for the good reception and detailed explanation, stressing that this visit helped them better understand the center’s work and gain practical experience.
