Today, Thursday, the Emirates International University and the University Student Forum organized a celebration event honoring the families of the martyrs and the opening of the exhibition of pictures and models on the anniversary of the martyr, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ali Sharaf Al-Din, and the Vice President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani. At the opening of the event, the Vice President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, gave a speech on the occasion in which he welcomed all the attendees, noting that the martyr’s anniversary is a great and important station to perpetuate the memory of the martyrs and to recall their exploits and virtues. The Vice President of the University stressed that commemorating this anniversary is one of the most important occasions with its significance, in honor and reverence and veneration for the highest giving and the most honorable sacrifice, honor, celebration and appreciation for the families of the martyrs. For his part, Dr. Ali Yahya Sharaf El-Din, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, considered that arming with science and knowledge is one of the fronts of confrontation, as this aspect represents the development of students' abilities and skills. Pointing to the importance of recalling the sacrifices of the martyrs and emphasizing the continuation of their project and proceeding on their path until victory is achieved. In his speech on the occasion, the Deputy Minister praised the role of the UAE University, which is considered the forerunner in interaction in the scientific and educational fields, community participation and the establishment of national activities. The ceremony was attended by the deans of the faculties, Dr. Saleh Al Dhaheri, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Ibrahim Al Shami, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Muhammad Al Kahali, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Professor Marwan Al Zari, Acting Dean of Student Affairs, a number of martyrs’ families of university students, and a number of university staff from different countries. Units and departments, a gathering of male and female students from different disciplines of the university. The ceremony included the presentation of technical links and a documentary reportage entitled "Our Great Martyrs", followed by honoring the families and relatives of the martyrs from among the university's affiliates. The university also honored the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Martyrs Foundation with the university shield for their active role in coordinating and participating in the martyr’s anniversary and caring for the families of the martyrs, followed by the opening of the exhibition of pictures and models of the martyrs from among the university’s affiliates.
