The College of Engineering and Information Technology, in coordination with the University’s Center for Development and Quality Assurance, held a mini-workshop to review and develop the description of mathematics courses in the college, in the presence of the Vice President of the University, Dr. Al-Kahali, a number of department heads in the College of Engineering and a number of experts in the field of mathematics are professors of mathematics courses in the college. During the inauguration of the workshop, Vice President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, welcomed the participants, stressing the importance of holding the workshop, which comes in line with the development approach that the university is taking to improve its academic programs to meet development requirements in implementation of the university and college strategy 2025, praising the efforts made by the workshop preparation team from the college leadership The Center for Development and Quality Assurance. For his part, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Hatem Al-Dais, indicated that the workshop aims to define the main features of the profile files, including the vocabulary of each course, in a way that ensures avoiding disruptive repetition and focusing on topics that serve the specialized courses in academic programs and their actual applications. The Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, indicated that the workshop is expected to produce a clear map of the subjects of the mathematics courses and other related courses in each of the academic programs taught at the college, so that the objectives of the courses are achieved and based on the description of courses.
