The College of Engineering launches a cybersecurity training course on penetration testing and vulnerability assessment

 Today, Saturday, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the university inaugurated a training course in cybersecurity on penetration testing and assessment of security vulnerabilities for students of the Information Security Department, level four, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ibrahim Farea, and the academic coordinator of the department, Eng.

 The training course, presented by Eng. Mohamed Al Hawani, aims to provide the participants with the practical knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate and test the security of systems, networks, applications and programs. The course also focuses on developing the participants’ abilities to use the latest penetration testing tools and techniques.

 The course, which is carried out over 14 training hours, also addresses virtualization techniques, their uses and methods of protection, network security techniques, domain controllers, end point security programs and their advantages and management method through practical application.

 During the inauguration, the Dean of the College of Engineering indicated that this training course is a qualitative addition to the training programs offered by the College to the Department of Information Security, and aims to qualify students in the field of cybersecurity, to integrate into the labor market after graduation with full competence and experience.
