In celebration of the Friday of Rajab, the anniversary of the entry of the people of Yemen into Islam, the Department of Student Activities and the University Student Forum organized a student visit to the Grand Mosque in the old city of Sana'a.

The visit aimed to recall the exploits of the Yemenis and their honorable stances since the dawn of Islam to support the religion of God and His Messenger. As well as visiting the Al-Halaqa area near the Great Mosque, to which Imam Ali bin Abi Talib arrived, carrying the message of the Holy Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, to the Yemenis, so they responded to him and entered Islam with all desire and conviction.

During the visit, the students listened to a religious exhortation about the role of the Yemenis in Islam and their support for the Messenger of God, and what was stated in the lecture was "the direct impact of faith on the Yemeni people in their attitudes, work, customs, traditions and morals since their conversion to Islam at the hands of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, until today."

In the religious lecture, Professor Yousef Maasar, professor of culture at the university, stressed that "we, as a Yemeni Muslim people, must stick to our faith identity and look at it as a blessing from God Almighty and the virtue of God's honor, and be proud of it as the greatest, holiest, and most honorable identity. There is nothing on earth greater than the faith identity."

The student visit was accompanied by Professor Youssef Maasar, teacher of culture, media officer of the university, engineer Osama Hizam, Secretary General of the University Student Forum, and a number of students from various disciplines.
