Yesterday, Wednesday, February 9, 2022, the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the university organized a scientific symposium on the educational robot and its role in university education, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Hatem Al-Dais. At the beginning of the symposium, Dr. Hatem Al-Deais, Dean of the College, welcomed the attendees and guests, pointing out that teaching robots and including them in the educational curricula for students is one of the priorities of modern universities that keep pace with and encourage technology and are keen to introduce motivating and encouraging teaching methods and methods for students. After that, Professor Dr. Ahmed Sultan Al-Hijami, Professor of Artificial Intelligence, spoke about this new scientific field and its importance in scientific and public life, as it represents the future for various businesses. The head of the Smarter Robotics Center, Engineer Hashem Nidal, presented a set of projects carried out by university students in a number of countries, and spoke about the importance of participating in global robotics competitions for Yemeni university students and how Yemen managed to get third place in the world in 2021, and the importance of having a presence in the world.
