A training workshop for university faculty members on teaching strategies and assessment based on learning outcomes

 Under the auspices of Dr. Najib Muhammad Al-Kamim, President of the University, the Center for Development and Quality Assurance at the University organized today, Monday, a training workshop for faculty members on teaching strategies and assessment based on learning outcomes.

 During the opening of the workshop, the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance at the university, Prof. Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, welcomed the participants, pointing out that this workshop comes within the framework of the center's plan in the field of spreading and strengthening the culture of quality in the university with the aim of raising the efficiency and skills of the teaching staff at the university, in order to achieve the graduation of qualified cadres armed with science and knowledge. And the skills necessary to compete in the local and regional labor market.

 The training workshop, which was implemented by the trainer, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Latif Al-Sharjabi - an expert in leadership and measurement of academic programs, aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of the participants in the field of teaching strategies based on learning outcomes, designing a system for measuring and evaluating different learning outcomes, and how to design and implement course measurement plans.

 The training workshop also aimed at providing the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to use the results and outputs of the measurement and evaluation system to develop the educational process and close the circle of improvements in academic courses.

 The training workshop, which targeted faculty members in various faculties of the university, in addition to the staff of the Development and Quality Assurance Center, included practical applications by the participants in various models of evaluation and measurement of learning outcomes according to the standards, designs and classifications used in this aspect. The workshop came out with a set of recommendations aimed at enhancing the culture of quality in the university.

 At the end of the training workshop, the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kamim, accompanied by the legal advisor, Prof. Dr. Fouad Al-Hajj, and the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, honored the trainer, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Latif Al-Sharjabi, with a certificate of thanks and appreciation for the efforts he made during the training workshop for the teaching staff at the university.
