The committees assigned by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to grant licenses to the university for new engineering programs that include (information security and chemical engineering) have begun work on the academic and technical aspects and evaluate the new programs according to the standards of the Academic Accreditation Council and to ensure the quality of higher education. The meeting was attended by Dr. Essam Muharram, Director General of Private Higher Education Institutions, who moderated the meeting. The committee was formed from a group of highly qualified professors in the field of new specialties and from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who are: Information Security Committee (Prof. Dr. Musa Ghorab as head of the committee and Prof. Murad Al-Mikhlafi as a member of the committee and Dr. Abdulkarim Ali as an assistant committee member, while the Chemical Engineering Committee (Prof. Dr. Hani Ahmed Dammaj as the head of the committee and Dr. Muhammad Mujam as a member of the committee and Dr. Enas Al-Gharbani as the committee’s assistant). The meeting was accompanied by the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, who thanked the members of the Committee on behalf of the Chairman and members of the Board of Trustees and the Emirates International University Council for their efforts in evaluating the new programs of the university. He stressed the university's keenness to follow the highest international standards in quality for all its existing and new programs to graduate qualified cadres armed with science and knowledge. Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim said that the university was keen to provide an integrated infrastructure in all medical, engineering and administrative programs to provide a bright image of private investments in the field of higher education in Yemen. For his part, Dr. Abdullah Al-Azazi, Vice President for Academic Affairs, considered that the university's quest to open new programs in such circumstances and conditions is evidence of the university's awareness of the importance of education and the importance of serving Yemen in this aspect. Considering that the university was keen to attract a group of specialized and distinguished faculty members at the country level and graduates of the most prestigious international universities to contribute to the continuation of achieving excellence in this aspect. The committee was also accompanied by Prof. Dr. Amin Aklan, Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, heads of departments in the college, teaching assistants in engineering departments, and head of the Planning and Studies Department in the Quality Unit at the university.
