The Emirates International University has signed a partnership and cooperation agreement with the Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Sana’a, according to which partnership and cooperation will be established in the scientific and academic field through the exchange of scientific and medical expertise between the two sides and the training of students of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the university in the various departments of the hospital and its facilities. The agreement was signed on behalf of the university by Dr. Najeeb Al-Kamim, president of the university, and on behalf of the Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority, Prof. Dr. Abdullatif Abu Talib, head of the authority, and in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the university, Prof. Dr. Saleh Al-Dhahiri, Dr. Maha Al-Muntaser, Prof. Dr. Najeeb Abu Asba, Vice President of the Al-Thawra Hospital Authority for Academic Affairs and Professor Dr. Anwar Al-Maghlis, Vice President of the Authority for Financial and Administrative Affairs. In addition to the academic and scientific fields, the agreement included the authority’s training of male and female students of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the university and enabling them to have practical training and field application in the various departments of the hospital and its advanced qualitative facilities, and to benefit from its capabilities and expertise in raising the educational level of the students of the medical college at the university. Considering that Al-Thawra General Hospital is the first and largest governmental hospital in Yemen among the high-efficiency governmental public medical institutions that benefit the local community with its professionalism and expertise in several medical fields. The President of the Emirates International University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, expressed the university’s thanks and appreciation to those in charge of the Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority, headed by Professor Dr. Abdullatif Abu Talib and all the employees of the Authority for their cooperation with the university and their keenness to provide training opportunities for students in a way that achieves cooperation and integration in meeting the requirements of the educational process. Noting the importance of this agreement because it is in the interest of the student and greatly qualifies him to work in the medical field in line with the university’s goal in graduating scientifically qualified students who have experience and skill and are able to practice the profession efficiently and effectively, given that the field training in the hospital prepares the student and makes him able to adapt with All the circumstances you may face in the future. The President of the University stressed that this agreement comes as a culmination of the aspirations of the University’s Board of Trustees, represented by the President of the Council, His Excellency Mr. Sultan bin Obaid Al-Shaya, which aims to develop the level of the educational process and focus on practical training to provide the university’s male and female students with the expertise and skills that achieve the graduation of qualitative and distinguished cadres through the quality education they receive. And through practical training and application, whether at the university or through activating the principle of partnership with other medical and educational institutions, as field training for students in hospitals is an essential part of the academic courses to enable students to apply the theoretical knowledge they acquire during their theoretical studies in a practical way, which makes them gain a greater and broader understanding of their specialties. So that they are more creative and proficient in it. For his part, the Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the university, Prof. Dr. Saleh Al Dhaheri, indicated that field training in hospitals represents a continuation of the academic process, and that students gain practical skills related to academic levels that contribute to qualifying students scientifically, professionally and ethically so that they can provide health and medical care to individuals, families and society after their graduation from the university On sound scientific foundations and in accordance with noble moral, social and human values. It is worth noting that this agreement comes within a series of partnership and cooperation agreements between the university and various institutions with the aim of achieving fruitful cooperation and concerted efforts to serve the educational process and higher education.
