The independent youth government launched today, Monday, from the campus of the Emirates International University, a traffic awareness campaign for universities and schools, where the inauguration was in the presence of the Deputy Director of Traffic, Colonel / Ahmed Al-Saraji, accompanied by the President of the Emirates International University Dr. Higher Education in the Youth Government Bassam Al-Jaadi and Muhammad Al-Zafni, Minister of Endowments and Guidance in the Independent Youth Government of Yemen. The traffic awareness team held a meeting with the President of the UAE University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, who welcomed the team and thanked them for choosing the university to launch this national awareness campaign that serves the community. The President of the University stressed that the UAEU is interested in participating in all national campaigns that establish a positive culture in the community, contribute to changing negative behaviors, and make use of all available capabilities for the success of targeted national campaigns. The awareness team, led by the Deputy Director General of Traffic, the President of the University and the Youth Government team, passed through the classrooms to raise awareness of the role of the family and the university in traffic safety and to develop traffic awareness among different segments of society, especially university students, and to distribute awareness and guidance brochures. The Deputy Director General of Traffic, Colonel Ahmed Al-Saraji, stressed the need to speed up the numbering of vehicles and motorcycles, to catch up with the campaign to reduce licensing and numbering fees, and to take advantage of the time available by the traffic before starting an extensive campaign of arresting all violators. For her part, the Prime Minister of the Youth Government, Mr. Hana Al-Faqih, expressed the national duty related to the necessity of traffic awareness and the importance of its implementation. The Minister of Interior in the youth government, Captain Ayman Al-Jabri, spoke about the importance of traffic awareness and the role of university students in spreading awareness about it and consecrating it as a culture in society. Noting that this awareness campaign is in line with the traffic control campaign that will be launched soon to hold violators and outlaws accountable and to enhance security within the city. For his part, the Minister of Higher Education in the Youth Government, Mr. Bassam Al-Jaadi, thanked and appreciated the UAE University and those in charge of it for the interest, interaction and cooperation with the traffic awareness team.
