In the presence of the University President, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, an expanded meeting of the Quality Department and the Quality Council of the College of Engineering and Information Technology was held today, Sunday, at the Quality Department office. The meeting, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, included the Director of the Quality Department at the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mawry, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Khalil Al-Wajeeh, the Head of the Mechatronics Department, Dr. Hatem Al-Dais, the Head of the Information Technology Department, Dr. Anwar Al-Shamiri, and the Head of the Oil and Gas Engineering Department. Dr. Ibrahim Farea, Professor Jamila Al-Sharjabi, and a number of stakeholders in the relevant departments of the university. The expanded meeting stopped, at the level of achievement of the work of the quality committees in the college, with regard to reviewing and updating the self-evaluation files, for the programs of mechatronics, oil and gas, information security, and chemical engineering, according to the standards of the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council. The modernization steps come within the framework of updating the database for the four programs in line with the outputs of the university’s strategy 2025, the strategy of the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the university, and the workshop for developing strategies for those departments and reviewing the documents of its academic programs, in order for the university to fully comply with the standards of academic accreditation and quality assurance, and international standards applicable in this field, in order to achieve the vision, mission and objectives of the university.
