The Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the College of Engineering concluded a discussion of the graduation projects for the students of the department for the academic year 2018-2019, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Where the graduation project of a group of mechatronics students was discussed, entitled: (power management for PV, Diesel generator and on grid systems using SCADA system). It is about managing three energy sources, namely solar energy, generator, and power line via PLC. System operations are displayed in the HMI screen. One of the features of the system is the ability to monitor work remotely via Web page So that this system works on three states, which are manual, auto normal and auto eco, and also the states of the sources and the states of load (load) are displayed in the HMI screen. This system is used in a wide variety of fields from simple home use to corporate buildings, factories, communication stations and hospitals. The development capabilities that the team is currently working on are linking the system to the GSM system to receive notifications via SMS messages and also the possibility of development by integrating the PV and Diesel Generator hypird unit, which works to save diesel by 30 to 40%. The project was implemented by the students of the Easy Control group: Hussam Jamal Juheish, Moamen Adnan Al-Qusos, Ghamdan Khaled Taher, Mazen Ahmed Al-Mahbashi, Nashwan Hashem Malik and Akram Al-Husseini. And the supervision of Engineer Mahran Al-Absi.. The discussion committee was formed by Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, head of the department, and Dr. Farouk Al-Fahidi. The discussion was attended by a number of faculty members and their assistants, students from different departments of the college and their parents, as well as a number of executive directors in the Capital Municipality and a group of representatives from the relevant authorities in the labor market.
