The UAE University Football League championship in its fourth edition kicked off today, Saturday, at Al Wahda Club Stadium in the capital, Sana’a, in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Hassan Abdel-Mughni, the Administrative Director, Mr. Ammar Aqlan, the University’s General Registrar, Mr. Marwan Al-Zari’i, and the University’s Activities Officer, Mrs. Sahar Al-Kahlani. In the opening matches, the oil and gas team competed in the fourth level with the human medicine team at the fourth level. In the second match, Business Administration Level One Group A with First Level Pharmacy. In the third match, the Business Administration Department of Level One Group B competed with Civil Engineering Level One while witnessing The fourth match is a competition between two IT teams, first level, with first level oil and gas. The fourth level oil and gas engineering team had achieved a victory over the fourth level human medicine team, with six goals to one. While the first-level business administration group A team won the first-level pharmacy department with a clean eight, the first-level business administration-group B team won the civil engineering department with three goals to one, while the first-level oil and gas team won the first-level it department by three goals to two goals. 32 student teams from different departments and levels of university faculties are participating in the league to compete for the League Cup. The implementation of the university’s football league comes within the university’s plan for extra-curricular student activities in a way that achieves the absorption of students’ energies, improve their health and physical level, and refine their skills to create a spirit of competition among them in a way that benefits them and motivates them to achieve educational attainment.
