As part of the implementation of the university’s strategy 2020-2025, a workshop was held yesterday, Thursday, in the presence of the President of the University, Dr. Najib Al-Kumaim, to review the draft annual executive plan of the Department of Quality and Academic Development at the university for the year 2020, in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, deans of faculties and heads of departments from various faculties of the university and a number of directors of departments and related sections. At the opening of the workshop, the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, praised the efforts made by those in charge of the Quality Department and the level of achievement achieved by the Department during the year 2019. Pointing to the importance of the Quality Department and the work entrusted to it to develop academic, institutional and program performance, develop the educational process, and update programs in accordance with academic accreditation standards. He stressed the importance of interaction and integration of efforts between the various faculties and university units and working as a team within an integrated plan to achieve the desired goals within the framework of the approved university strategy. The President of the University also stressed the orientation of the brother, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, His Excellency Professor Sultan bin Obaid Al-Shaya, to consider the year 2020-2021 as the years of quality, quality, excellence and creativity, stressing the full support of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees to the efforts of the university leadership, the Quality Department and college leaders towards upgrading the efforts to develop the educational process and modernize programs in line with Standards for academic accreditation locally and internationally. In order to meet the educational aspirations and goals that the university was established in order to achieve them. The President of the University extended his thanks and appreciation to all the team members, the leaders of the faculties, departments and relevant departments, and the university’s employees who contributed greatly to the achievement of a large percentage of the improvement of the educational process and the modernization of programs. For his part, the Director-General of the Quality Department at the university, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Mawry, stressed the quest of the Quality Department, through the implementation of its executive plans, to develop internal quality systems, plan and follow up their development and evaluate performance to improve the educational process and achieve excellence in the academic work system “institutional and programmatic” at the university in light of the university’s strategy 2025 to ensure the highest quality in all its outputs. The planning officer reviewed the strategic objectives of the draft executive plan for the Quality Department, which included the axes of improving governance and management systems, enhancing the quality and quality of the academic process to meet the needs of development, enhancing the values ​​of professional development, investing human resources on a professional basis in accordance with the strategic framework of the university, and developing the university structure that supports teaching and learning in a way that achieves professional competencies for outputs. the University. The participants in the workshop enriched the implementation plan through discussions, observations and additions, and expressed their readiness to implement, each in its own right, to achieve success and excellence in accordance with the desired goals.
