Mechatronics engineering.

Mechatronics engineering.

The concept of specialization, what is mechatronics? The word mechatronics is made up of two syllables, "mica" from mechanics or mechanism and "tronics" from electronics or electronics. This means that mechanical products and mechanisms are equipped with electronic technologies and circuits so that their performance becomes better. Thus, the mechatronics specialization means the specialization that aims at the continuous integration of mechanics, electronics, control theory, and computer science in product design and manufacturing industries, and the improvement and development of their performance. Mechatronics engineering includes mechanical and electrical engineering, computer science, control systems, and data processing. Today, mechatronics systems have entered almost all devices in our lives. They are found in washing machines, cars, sewing machines, and medical devices. They are also found in robots and various manufacturing machines. We find it in other advanced applications, such as in the autopilot of the new Airbus A380, or in the car's electronic fuel injection system, the ABS brakes in cars and others. In short... Mechatronics is a mixture of technology and methods to get a better product... It is the very future. Duration of study specialization: Generally, mechatronics engineering programs span four to five years. In some European and American universities, the period may be reduced to three years, due to the decrease in the number of requirements subjects or teaching in summer courses and so on. At the Emirates International University, the program was recently developed by a committee of experts in the specialization to extend for four academic years to meet all national standards such as (NARS) or international standards such as (ABET). Fields of study specialization: The areas of study of the specialization are distributed among different engineering branches. In addition to basic engineering sciences such as mathematics and physics, there are subjects in mechanical engineering such as engineering mechanics and manufacturing methods, theory and design of hydraulic and pneumatic machines and systems, subjects in electrical engineering such as electrical circuits, electrical machines, power electronics and motors, and subjects in electronic engineering such as electronics, logic design, processors and embedded systems and measurement systems, and materials in automatic control and data processing such as automatic control systems and programmable logic control (PLC). Then come the materials that give this specialty its distinctive flavor and that combine all these sciences, such as designing mechatronics systems, robotics, computer design and manufacturing, and others. The total number of courses that the student will study in Mechatronics Engineering at the Emirates International University is 55 courses. The student will start designing second-level mechatronics projects. The specialization requirements include that the student trains in an approved industrial body for at least one month. General Objectives of the Mechatronics Engineering Program: 1. Providing the student with a strong foundation in mathematics and basic engineering sciences, appropriate to the major. 2. Developing a professional education and training system for mechatronics engineers in various engineering branches, including the fields of design, manufacturing, management, maintenance and technical services in the engineering industry. 3. Teaching general and specialist subjects that enhance students' understanding of the economic, environmental, ethical, political, social, and cultural impact of the engineering choices and decisions they make. 4. Provide the opportunity for students to develop and apply skills and techniques for effective performance at work. 5. Graduating highly qualified mechatronics engineers in mechatronics engineering, equipped with the skills, knowledge and personal attributes necessary to make an effective contribution to their work environment and to society. Educational Objectives of the Mechatronics Engineering Program: The mechatronics engineering program aims to prepare an outstanding graduate who: 1. Understands the various engineering fundamentals of electrical and mechanical engineering, control systems and computer engineering. 2. He practices the profession as a mechatronics engineer or continues his postgraduate studies successfully. 3. Designs, analyzes and tests all kinds of industrial products and processes. 4. Possesses effective scientific research and self-development skills. 5. Able to innovate and develop new directions in advanced mechatronics sciences. 6. Able to communicate effectively and solve complex problems in a multidisciplinary environment. 7. He shall abide by the ethical responsibilities in his professional life. 8. Able to develop his knowledge and experience in order to respond to the requirements of industry and society. Career and scientific future (the fields of work of the graduate student from the specialization) Mechatronics engineering graduates work in the fields of design, maintenance and development in a number of sectors including: • Industrial and production sectors • Transport-related industries (eg automobiles, railways, and aircraft) • Design of mechanical structures, electronic devices, and software design. • Production, management and sales • Medical equipment and robots • Defense and security systems and robots • Smart Consumer Products Industry • Petrochemical and food industries • and others.
