The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research - Information Technology Center organized this morning a ceremony to announce and honor the winners of the national competition for graduation projects in the fields of computing and technology in its second season 2021. Which the center included with the participation of the Emirates International University, as well as a number of universities and relevant authorities. At the ceremony, speeches were delivered by the member of the Supreme Political Council Sheikh Jaber Abdullah Ghaleb, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Hussein Hazeb and the Director of the Information Technology Center, Dr. Fouad Abdel Razzaq, who emphasized in their entirety the importance of the scientific field and technology in contemporary life and what it represents as a major axis for the progress and development of countries and the importance of Supporting and nurturing creators and encouraging innovation, as a practical translation of the goals and directions of the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state. In his speech, the President of the Emirates International University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim, touched on the importance of the competition in empowering and motivating graduates to innovate and be creative in scientific research, calling for the development and expansion of the award to include other medical and administrative fields and disciplines. The President of the University stressed the depth of the partnership between the UAE University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research - the Information Technology Center, which aims to support the development of the educational process and the fields of research, creativity and innovation, in accordance with the strategic directions of the University and the directions of the University's Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Council, Mr. Sultan bin Obaid Al Shaya. The President of the University congratulated the winners from the university students and other universities, wishing them continued success and success in their upcoming scientific and practical lives, and urged them to work to develop their practical projects with the relevant authorities to serve the community and the country. At the end of the ceremony, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the winners of the national competition for graduation projects in the fields of computing and engineering, and they were honored with sums of money, prizes and gifts in kind. Among the honored projects was a project submitted by students of the Mechatronics Department at the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the UAE University, "Human Objectives Tracking and Tracking System", where the project team was honored with a financial award, in-kind prizes and certificates of appreciation, and the project supervisor, Dr. Farouk Al Fahidi, was honored. She won first place in the first season of the National Graduation Projects Competition, September 2019. The university was also honored with the shield of the Information Technology Center, which was received by Dr. Najib Al-Kumaim, the president of the university, as well as the honoring of Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, member of the Executive Committee - Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the National Competition for Graduation Projects in its second season, the acting Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance at the university. The announcement, honoring and awarding of prizes were attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Mahmoud Al-Junaid, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Kumaim, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Ali Sharaf El-Din, First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Ibrahim Sharaf, undersecretaries and leaders of the Ministry of Higher Education, presidents and representatives of public and private universities, and representatives from the public sectors and private. The Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Dr. Hatem Al-Dais, Prof. Marwan Al-Zari, Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Muhammad Mughales, the Media Officer, and a number of directors and heads of related departments at the university also attended on behalf of the university.
