The Civil Engineering Department of the College of Engineering and Information Technology has launched a discussion of the graduation projects for students of the department for the academic year 2019-2020, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Hatem Al-Dais, the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Prof. Ahmed Al-Wazaf, and the Head of the Oil and Gas Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Ali Farea and Dr. Nazmi Al-Mikhlafi. Where the graduation projects submitted by the students of the department were discussed as follows: The first project: It is a design of a multi-storey residential concrete structure - earthquake-resistant for a residential hotel project consisting of three blocks (A.B.C) and the middle block (B) designed to resist earthquakes consisting of a basement and ten The floors and the two side blocks (A.C.) are designed according to the normal system, each block consists of a basement and five floors, and presented by the students: Mohsen Mohsin Muhammad Al-Gharbani, Talal Saleh Al-Lahbi and Hisham Abdel-Qader Al-Sanawi, and from the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Wazaf, and Dr. Nazmi Al-Makhlafi. The second project was a five-storey residential building made of reinforced concrete and iron. The project was presented by the students: Nihan Yahya Naji Al-Makhrafi, Al-Hassan Ali Saleh Al-Nahdi, Haitham Al-Mawlid and Thiab Salah Al-Akkad. It is supervised by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hassan Al-Wazaf. And Dr. discussant Nazmi Al-Mikhlafi. The department is scheduled to continue discussing the graduation projects for the remaining groups in the coming days.
