Today, Thursday, the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, in coordination with the Center for Development and Quality Assurance at the university, organized a workshop under the patronage of Prof. Naguib Al-Kumaim, President of the University, to launch a project to study the self-evaluation of the human medicine program in accordance with the standards of special accreditation and the requirements of the WFME. At the opening of the workshop, the President of the University, Dr. Najeeb Al-Kumaim confirmed that the workshop comes in the context of the developmental steps of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences - Human Medicine Program in implementation of the strategy of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences 2025, which is based on the University’s strategy 2025, and in accordance with the criteria for the special accreditation of the Human Medicine Program and the requirements of the Federal World Federation for Education WFME, which contributes to raising the level of the educational process and graduating quality cadres, based on the university’s vision to become a distinguished university at the local and regional levels. The President of the University pointed out the importance of the workshop in introducing the concepts related to self-evaluation and reviewing the criteria and indicators of self-evaluation for the human medicine program according to WFME standards, to train the formed evaluation committees and to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills required to implement the steps and stages of self-evaluation and to identify models for implementing the self-evaluation study to reach international accreditation. For his part, the national expert, Prof. Dr. Numan Fayrouz, reviewed the project for the accreditation of the human medicine program in accordance with the standards of the World Federation of Medical Education WFME. He also reviewed the manual, requirements and models for implementing the self-evaluation study for the human medicine program. The workshop was attended by the Vice President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baadani, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Prof. Saleh Al-Dhaheri, the Vice Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Sadiq Abdel-Mughni, the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shami, the Dean of the Quality and Academic Development Center, Prof. Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, and the Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department, Dr. Mokhtar Al-Garafi. The Head of the Medical Laboratories Department, Dr. Abdul Basit Al-Ghoury, the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Marwan Al-Zari, the Director of Academic Affairs, Ms. Ibtisam Al-Majmar, and the Head of the Planning and Institutional Development Unit at the Quality Center, Ms. Jamila Mahyoub,
