Today, Monday, the training course on computer applications used in petroleum operations, organized by the Emirates International University in cooperation with the Data Bank of the Petroleum Exploration and Production Authority, for the second group of students of the fourth-level oil and gas engineering department, which lasted for 6 days, was concluded. The event was attended by the Undersecretary of the Oil Exploration and Production Authority, Engineer Adel Abdullah Hadi, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Dr. Hatem Al-Dais, the Director of the Information Bank Development Project, Eng. Muhammad Ali Hadi, the Head of the Oil and Gas Engineering Department, Dr. Ibrahim Ali Farea, and a number of the project staff for the development of the Data Bank and the Authority. At the conclusion of the course, Dr. Hatem Al-Daeis, Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the leadership of the authority and those in charge of the project to develop the data bank for their distinguished role and effective contribution to supporting the educational process by providing the opportunity for students of the oil and gas engineering department at the university for training and application and transferring the expertise of the authority and its cadres to our students To provide them with practical skills and experience. For his part, Eng. Adel Abdullah Al-Hazmi, Undersecretary of the Oil Exploration and Production Authority, praised the level of coordination and cooperation between the Oil Exploration and Production Authority represented by the Data Bank and the UAE University with the aim of training university students in the field of oil and gas engineering, wishing the trainees to benefit from what they learned during the course, and apply it in their future scientific and practical lives. The Undersecretary of the Commission had given a closing lecture on the sidelines of the conclusion of the training course, in which he reviewed the exploration activity, sedimentary basins and the petroleum system in the Republic of Yemen. After that, the Undersecretary of the Petroleum Exploration and Production Authority and the trainer of the training course were honored with certificates of appreciation from the university, as well as the students participating in the training course were honored with certificates of participation. It is noteworthy that the first group of students of the fourth-level oil and gas engineering department received training during the past week.
