The Higher Authority for Science, Technology and Innovation honored today, Saturday, the winners of the first three places of innovative projects within the exhibition of graduation projects participating in the inauguration ceremony of the authority. In the event, which was held under the slogan “Guiding graduation projects towards national priorities to achieve sustainable development,” students from the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the UAE University were honored, who won second place for their project, “Automatic Production Line for Liquid Filling and Capping using PLC,” which is a production line. For filling liquids and capping homemade containers using an automatic system via industrial control, PLC, which is characterized by accuracy, efficiency and modernity. The supervisors of the project, Dr. Muhammad Al-Olfi and Engineer Mahran Al-Absi, were also honored. For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the President of the University, the Vice-President of the University, and on behalf of all the university’s employees, congratulated the winning students, praising the level reached by the university’s students, and expressing the university’s pride in its students. Emphasizing the university’s confidence in its qualified educational outputs and their ability to compete in the labor market according to what they have learned and armed with in terms of science, knowledge and practical experience through education, training and practical application during their academic years.
