Job title: Head of the Department of Human Medicine College: College of Medicine and Health Sciences Responsible to: Deanship of the College Job objective: Carrying out all academic and administrative tasks within its duties and specializations and raising the level of students and the department in a manner that is appropriate and commensurate with the requirements of the university. Duties and Job Duties: Carrying out administrative and academic tasks. - Presiding over the department council, calling for its meetings, signing its minutes, and following up on their implementation. Performing the weekly university teaching working hours for a faculty member according to his academic degree. Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual reports on students’ attendance and absence on a monthly basis and submitting them to the Deanship of the College with the aim of improving performance. Participate in preparing plans, reviewing study programs, and following up on the development and upgrading of performance. Delivering course items to students dated in academic weeks at the beginning of each term. - Supervising and monitoring the department’s exams and their proper functioning, and participating in the work of controlling human medicine. - Daily follow-up of the faculty members and their assistants in the department and submit reports on the level of their attendance and performance on a continuous and periodic basis to the Dean of the College. - Supervising the laboratories and their employees of the department on a daily basis, submitting continuous reports on their performance and addressing deficiencies in a timely manner. - Continuous meeting with the department's students and finding effective solutions to the complaints submitted by them. - Supervising students' activities in the department. - Full supervision of hospitals that train university students, and reporting to the Dean of the College with reports on the progress of the clinical training process. Carrying out the tasks assigned to him by the Presidency of the University and the Deanship of the College, which fall within his competence. Required qualifications: PhD in human medicine Required Experience: At least five years of experience as a department head in universities. Required languages: - Arabia - English Other requirements: High and distinguished administrative and leadership skills. Ability to communicate and direct.
