The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders honors the Emirates University for its efforts in implementing awareness campaigns

The Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders honored the Emirates International University today, Monday, with a certificate of thanks and appreciation, in recognition of the university's continuous cooperation and distinguished efforts in arranging and implementing awareness campaigns on the risks of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders and ways to prevent them, as well as voluntary blood donation campaigns during the month of October of this year. The honor was received on behalf of the university by Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, Secretary-General of the university.

For its part, the university honored the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders with certificates of appreciation in recognition of the efforts made by the association in caring for thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders.

During the honoring, the Secretary-General of the university, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, expressed the university's appreciation for this honor, stressing that the university will continue its efforts in the field of social responsibility and cooperation with all concerned parties to combat hereditary diseases and improve the health of society.

 For his part, the Public Relations Officer of the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders, Mr. Ali Abdul-Wali, praised the efforts made by the UAE University, stressing that this fruitful cooperation contributes greatly to raising awareness of the spread of these diseases and improving the lives of patients and their families. 

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Saleh Al-Dhaheri, Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Prof. Sadiq Abdul-Mughni, Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Safaa Darwish, Academic Coordinator of the Department of Medical Laboratories, Eng. Osama Hazam, Activities Officer at the University, and from the Association, Mr. Saleh Al-Asimi, Head of the Follow-up Department at the Association.
