The UAE University organizes a solidarity stand with the Palestinian people under the slogan "Our support for Gaza and Al-Aqsa .. a responsibility and a struggle"

In continuation of the official and popular positions and in response to the call of the Leader and in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their just cause and in support of their valiant resistance, the UAE International University organized a solidarity stand today, Wednesday, 01 Rabi` al-Awwal 1446 AH, corresponding to 4/9/2024 AD, under the slogan "Our support for Gaza and Al-Aqsa .. a responsibility and a struggle" in the presence of the President of the University, Dr. Nasser Hadi Al-Mufri, deans of colleges, heads of departments, academic and administrative staff of the university, and a crowd of students from various colleges of the university.

 The participants in the vigil chanted slogans expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people, denouncing the Zionist crimes, and the Arab inaction and silence towards what is happening to our brothers in Palestine. The participants chanted, while raising the Yemeni and Palestinian flags, a number of slogans: “Religion is giving and jihad, either victory or martyrdom,” “In Gaza, patience and steadfastness shattered the ambitions of the Jews,” “The Quran is the book of God, the enemies of God will not be saved,” “Oh Muslim, this is your Quran, so get angry or review your faith,” and other slogans supporting the resistance and the steadfastness of Gaza. In his speech during the vigil, the university president, Dr. Nasser Al-Mufri, stressed the importance of continuing to participate effectively in the marches and vigils in solidarity and support for the Palestinian people and their just cause and not to be indifferent. He pointed out that this vigil comes within the framework of religious responsibility and in response to the call of God Almighty to support our oppressed brothers in Gaza, stressing that supporting Gaza and Al-Aqsa is a duty for every individual and institution. Our support for Gaza and Al-Aqsa is not just a slogan, but a responsibility and a struggle that we must all bear. 

The statement issued by the vigil stressed that “Jihad is the only solution for the nation to confront the criminal enemy until its demise,” denouncing “the failure of Arab and Islamic governments to fulfill their responsibility in supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause.” 

The statement also denounced the international and global silence towards the ongoing crimes of genocide in Gaza for about a year, which have resulted in about 150,000 victims between martyrs, wounded and missing, considering these crimes a stigma on human society. 

The statement praised “the heroic epics written by the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and the West Bank in confronting the usurping Zionist enemy,” calling on “the sons of the nation and the free people of the world to support the Palestinian people and resistance by all available means to enhance steadfastness and defend the land of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque.” 

 The statement expressed "disapproval and anger at the criminal entity's persistence in committing thousands of brutal massacres against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and its quest to build a Jewish synagogue in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and addressed the Arabs and Muslims by saying, "What more do you expect if these crimes and attacks do not move your conscience? Are you not ashamed to watch America support falsehood while you fail the truth.
