A scientific seminar for students of the Information Technology Department on the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) as part of the activities of the Scientific Week of the College of Engineering

In a step towards qualifying its students for the labor market, the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the UAE University organized, within the framework of the activities of the Scientific Week, a scientific seminar full of information, targeting students of the Information Technology Department. The seminar focused on the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) and how to use it in managing various operations within companies and institutions.

Eng. Muhannad Al-Arami, the lecturer of the seminar, reviewed the importance of the ERP system in efficiently managing institutional operations, such as human resources management, supply chain management, and inventory management, and how these links can contribute to improving the performance of the institution and making more informed decisions. A detailed explanation was also provided about the challenges facing companies when implementing the ERP system, how to choose the appropriate system for the size and type of work, and how to use this system and apply it in the real work environment in the labor market.

The seminar received great interaction from the students who expressed their thanks to the university for organizing such events that contribute to developing their skills and capabilities.

 The seminar, moderated by Dr. Jamil Rashid, Head of the Cyber Security Department, was attended by the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Dr. Ibrahim Farea, Dr. Hisham Aqlan, a faculty member in the department, and Eng. Fathi Salman, Head of the Training and Rehabilitation Center.
