 Today, Monday, the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, in cooperation with the Colleges of Dentistry and Administrative and Financial Sciences, organized two workshops to review the report on the results of the self-evaluation study, and the plan to improve the programs of oral and dental surgery and international business management, in the presence of the University’s Secretary General, Dr. Fouad Ismail Hanash, and the Dean of the Center. Development and Quality Assurance Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, Dean of the College of Dentistry Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shami, Dean of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences Dr. Muhammad Al-Kahali, heads of scientific departments in the two colleges, members of the self-evaluation committees, a number of faculty members and their assistants, members of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, and representatives of the labor market. Graduates and students.

 

 The two workshops aimed to discuss the results of the self-evaluation study conducted by the Center with the evaluation committees of the two programs, with the aim of identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each program, and identifying the necessary areas of development.

 

 At the opening, Dr. Fouad Hanash, Secretary-General, gave a speech in which he emphasized the importance of self-evaluation as an essential tool for improving the quality of the educational process at the university. He pointed out that the university pays great attention to developing its academic programs in line with best international practices and standards, praising the efforts of the evaluation committees in the two colleges and the Center for Development and Quality Assurance to complete the self-evaluation.

 

 For his part, Dr. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, Dean of the University’s Development and Quality Assurance Center, explained that the Center is continuously working to evaluate the university’s academic programs through self-evaluation studies. He added that the center is keen on the participation of all stakeholders in the evaluation process, including faculty members, students, program graduates, and representatives of the labor market.

 

 The deans of the Faculties of Dentistry and Administrative and Financial Sciences indicated that organizing these two workshops comes within the framework of the university’s tireless pursuit of excellence in all fields, including the quality of academic programs. They noted that the participation of all beneficiaries in the process of self-evaluation and development of improvement plans contributes significantly to achieving this goal.

 

 The workshops discussed the stages and steps that went through preparing the self-evaluation study, the strengths and weaknesses of the two programs, and determining the extent to which the programs meet the standards for special academic program accreditation.

 

 The workshops also discussed plans to improve programs based on the results of the self-evaluation study report.

 

 The workshops targeted the work teams preparing the self-evaluation study for the two programs, and their internal community of faculty members, students, and program management, in preparation for submitting the self-study report with attachments for the two programs to the Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance.
