The Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the university discussed a number of scientific projects for the students of the department, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Hatem Al-Dais, Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Thor, Professor of Roads in the department, and the engineer Hanan Dahan. Where the projects submitted by student groups were reviewed, which focused on studying the problems that cause traffic congestion in some commercial streets and working on finding scientific and engineering solutions to them that could be applied on the ground. Where the student groups carried out a field visit within the framework of studying the subject of roads and worked on studying the traffic flow in a number of the capital’s streets, discovering problems and working to solve them by providing solutions based on scientific and engineering foundations that contribute to solving those congestion. The two teams worked on implementing the project through steps that started with the study of traffic and then preparing a counting form and questionnaire and drawing a sketch of the first two sites on Jamal Street for the first group, and Al-Ruwaishan tour for the second group. It was presented to the official authorities in the capital secretariat, and the projects were approved and implemented on the ground. The first student group: Adel Abdel Qader Al Emadi, Ghaleb Hussein Abd Rabbo Al Toari, Hussein Damham Ahmed Musaed, Salman Saleh Matar Thawabeh, Salem Mohsen Salem Gharsan, Dahm Abdullah Damham Thawabeh, Imran Hamid Ahmed Farea, Ayman Ahmed Al-Ashawi, Bashar Al-Khawlani, Khaled Al-Atheeb and Jassar Jassar. The second student group: Abdullah Al-Kamim, Ibrahim Al-Hadour, Muhammad Al-Bashiri, Abdullah Al-Zorqi and Ahmed Al-Mushki.
