Today, Wednesday, the Mechatronics Engineering Department at the University's College of Engineering and Information Technology launched a training program in occupational safety and first aid for fourth-level students. This is within the framework of the department’s keenness to provide students with the skills required in the local, regional and international labor market.

The program, which includes a group of lectures and practical applications, aims to qualify students to be able to apply occupational safety rules in the work environment, which contributes to preserving their safety and the safety of others, and providing first aid in emergency situations.

The training program, which lasts for 25 training hours, is presented by Engineer Osama Zaid Amer, an expert in the field of occupational safety and first aid, and addresses occupational safety topics, such as: how to use occupational safety equipment, and how to deal with and prevent accidents in the work environment.

The training program also addresses basic first aid topics, such as: how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and how to deal with: bleeding cases, electric shocks, burn cases, and suffocation cases.

At the conclusion of the training program, students will receive an accredited training certificate in occupational safety and first aid.
